This is the eighth block pattern of the COVID Friends Tribute Quilt.

This simple block resembles the a mortar board, the traditional graduation cap.  Graduates (high school and bachelor’s degree) traditionally move their tassel  from right to left after they commence.  Master’s degree begin and end with the tassel on the left.  Once you’ve finished your quilt, you can add tassel to your mortar board.
