Join Teresa on a Panama Canal Quilting Cruise
April 7 -28, 2024
We will be traveling on Norwegian Cruise Line, departing from Miami, visiting Cartagena (Columbia), Panama Canal, Panama City, Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala), Acapulco (Mexico), Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Los Angeles, San Francisco, Victoria (Canada), and returning to Seattle.
Enjoy extraordinary culture-infused excursions in each of the ports.
This quilt cruise is being offered by our friends Renee & Carlos with Cruise Planners.
A variety of state rooms are available at very affordable prices. Take advantage of Norwegian's cruise that moves their ship from Caribbean cruises in the winter to Alaskan cruises in the summer!
We are limited to 30 quilters, so book your trip today!
During our days at sea, the sewing room will be open and available to all quilters. Quilters have no "required" hours in the sewing room, so you can plan your cruise together with your spouse/roommate.
There are many shows, classes and other amenities on board, and you may want to participate in activities outside the sewing room.

Three Quilting Options for You
Option #1 Mola Go-Go
Teresa designed this 65"x75" throw quilt that resembles the hand-appliqued, colorful molas that are created in most Central American countries. The quilt features solid Bali Batik fabrics. With 9 days at sea, there will be plenty of time to cut and construct this beauty, and still have plenty of time to enjoy other amenities on board!
Quilters will find that what looks complicated is quite simple with strips, squares, and half-squares. Quilt kits will be provided to quilters on board, but can be mailed to quilters, in advance, if requested. The quilt kits can be requested in Red, Blue, or Green.
Option #2 Miss Flossy
Miss Flossy flounces her flamingo feathers in this quilt-by-number design. Whether you are a confident beginner or a skilled professional, you will enjoy stitching over 400 pieces of fabric into 170 units in this delightful 43"x55" quilt.
Remember the days when you painted by number to create a "masterpiece"? The quilt-by-number method follow the same principal. Within this quilt, you will be using, at a minimum, 23 different fabrics. Once your quilt top is complete, you might choose to "fancy" Miss Flossy with fusible applique in select spots.
Option #3 Open Sew on the Open Seas
Do you have a project that needs your attention? Don't let that stop you from attending our cruise.
Skip the kits, bring your project on board and GIT R DUN.
With 9 days at sea, in between ports of call, you will have plenty of time to finish up your project(s).
