Wanna SHAQ up this weekend?

Feeling cooped up?
Want to SHAQ up with
Stitchin' Tree this weekend?

For the past two weeks, we've been working aggressively with quilting angels in our area to turn out over 2000 cotton face masks to distribute to area/regional hospitals, nursing homes, public health and emergency services.  We'll continue our efforts for the next several weeks, as this horrible pandemic continues to spread across our great state and nation.  We are very fortunate to live is a small rural area where neighbors help neighbors, and our crew of angels has grown to include non-quilters:  a virtual army of women and men willing to help with our efforts to protect those around us.  With the extension of these outreach efforts, we have a little breathing room, and Teresa is ready to get back to her passion: quilting.  With classes and quilt shows cancelled for the foreseeable future, we've reached out to our technology partners at Lightbox to create a setup here at our shop that will allow for multiple cameras and views.  We've beefed up our internet and are ready to ZOOM out to our quilters.  So if you are feeling cooped up, we invite you to SHAQ up with Stitchin' Tree.

We plan to test our new setup this Saturday, April 6.  It's free to participate, just jump into our Zoom session using this URL link: https://zoom.us/j/793859585.

Teresa will be online all day, using the schedule below.  Quilters can check in and out, as they have time.  The times listed below are Central Time zone.  Please make adjustments for your time zone.

10:00 AM CST Fabric Selection & Cutting/Fabric show & tell
12:00 PM CST Check in: Block construction/ show & tell
2:00 PM CST Check in: Quilt Construction / show & tell
4:00 pm CST Check out: Show & Tell

For this first test run, we've chosen Teresa's all time favorite jelly roll pattern, Barns & Terraces.  This pattern is so versatile, virtually any jelly roll will work.  So check your stash and grab a roll! If you already have the pattern, pull it out and dust it off.  If you don't have the pattern yet, you can pick up an electronic version on our website for $1.99: Barns & Terraces Electronic PDF.

Supplies needed:  1 jelly roll & 1-1/4 yard background fabric (which you can choose later)

The quilt finishes 56"x66" and can easily be constructed in 1 day.

Teresa's Fabric Choice for this SHAQ
Teresa has been itching to get her hands on some of the new fabric that arrived last month:  Sunrise Farms by Quilting Treasures. She's putting a few kits together for her finished quilt.  If you'd like to order the kit  $59, click: Barns & Terraces Sunrise Farms kit

BORDER FABRIC

These fabrics from the Sunrise Farms collection by Dan Morris (and more) will appear in Teresa's quilt.  We can't wait to see the finished product.  We hope you can join us on tomorrow.
