We're SEWING in our MakerSpace
We are SEW excited to launch the official opening of our MakerSpace is historic downtown Woodbine. We appreciate your patience as we've relocated and set up our new space. It's not perfect yet, and probably never will be (what is?), but we're really excited to show it off to you. The signs are up (most of them), the tables are set, the fabric is in place, and were ready to roll. Stop in to visit (on the days we are open), or register for a class or open sew.
What is a MakerSpace? Stay tuned, and we'll show you... We'll be shooting video, taking pics and creating a visual library in the next few weeks. We cant wait to show you!
Check out these pics from our Kidz Camp last week! We had five budding quilters participate. Top right, Izzy, age 12, is working on an original design. Below left, Addy, age 12, is showing off her 1/4" seams on the first quilt she has constructed by following the instructions in a pattern. This is the third quilt Addy has constructed. Below center, Avery & Jordynn, age 8, learned to quilt and constructed their first charity quilt together. Below right, Katy, age 12, finished her third quilt.

See Teresa in Cozad this Week
Cozad, Nebraska, will be decked out in quilts this weekend. On Friday, August 9th, learn to make the center medallion of the Ten Commandments quilt in a class with Teresa Coenen. Teresa will also be demonstrating how to make "Perfect Binding Every Time" Saturday morning at the quilt show. Enjoy a quilt show on August 10th from 9:30-10:00, with a presentation about the Wings Across the Heartland project at 2:00 and trunk show and lecture by Teresa Coenen at 2:30 at the American Lutheran Church. Quilts will be on display at 19 locations throughout downtown for our Walking Tour of Quilts.
